Project tutorial: from a brief to research and concepts

Getting startedReview draft

On this page

This teaching scenario converts an old factory into a community cultural space for exhibitions, activities and reading, retaining its roof profile. Area and budget are unknown. It illustrates a working sequence, not a completed real project.

1. Create a verifiable requirements summary

Upload the brief from home or in an existing project. Wait for processing, then ask AIRI loci Agent to separate goals, functions, mandatory conditions and open questions with source references. Check areas, quantities and retention conditions. Keep missing budgets unknown instead of filling a table with invented values. Save confirmed conditions in project memory.

2. Research with a question

In the same conversation, request factory-to-community-space precedents, comparing public activity areas with retained structures and including sources. For a real site, add the address, scope and source dates.

Open sources to verify facts. Separate what a precedent actually did from recommendations for your project. Choose evidence that answers the current question rather than taking every search result into design.

3. Develop comparable directions

Reference the confirmed summary and selected precedents. Request distinct directions with spatial organization, retention strategy and tradeoffs. Discuss text and diagrams before deciding whether to generate fuller visuals.

For example, compare a central public hall with distributed activity nodes. Judge activity organization, opening hours and retained conditions as well as appearance.

4. Record decisions and continue

Specify what to keep, reject and leave unresolved. Update project memory and group related text, images and comparison evidence in a frame.

This round is complete when you have a checked requirements summary, sourced research and a next direction you selected. If essential conditions remain unclear, first prepare questions for the relevant people.
