Invite people to view or edit a project

Sharing and collaborationReview draft

On this page

A project share link provides viewing access. Ongoing editing and Agent use also require suitable workspace roles and project permissions.

Share for viewing

Check the project and workspace, open Share / Share link, copy it and send it. Recipients follow login/registration and invitation acceptance steps.

Share links are viewing invitations, not an editing switch. They expire; an authorized person must regenerate an invalid/expired link rather than repeatedly using the old one.

Its wording about anyone with the link being able to view does not mean anonymous access: recipients still need to log in or register and accept the invitation, and links expire. Follow the rules in this article. The source screenshot is unchanged; click to view the original.

Invite editors

  • Not in the workspace: an owner/admin invites them with a suitable role, then project editing is granted.
  • Already in the workspace: open Share and collaborate / Members and permissions in the project, find the person and have an authorized manager change their project permission.
  • Can edit but cannot use Agent: also check the workspace role. A workspace viewer does not gain Agent or upload access from project editing alone.

Manage workspace roles and allowances in workspace settings; manage a single project's scope in its Members panel. Avoid changing workspace membership just to open one project.

After acceptance

Ask the recipient to check workspace/project and available tools. For viewing-only or unavailable downloads/edits, check project permissions. For editing without generation, check workspace role, credits and personal allowance.

Project editing does not grant billing, member administration or plan-purchase rights.
