Prequalification and project understanding workflow

Skill manualsReview draft

On this page

Turn a brief into an early presentation or bid section explaining design objectives, project challenges, responses, and recommendations.

Prepare materials

Upload the full brief and specify purpose, audience, and length. Label supplied design images and references by their role. A brief alone is sufficient for text analysis; unrelated imagery is unnecessary.

Develop the response

  1. Select this Skill and define the purpose, such as the project understanding section of a prequalification submission.
  2. Verify location, scale, functions, requirements, and deadlines. Explain how clarifications supersede or supplement the original brief.
  3. Check that the structure addresses this project. Add priorities, remove generic background, or follow required tender chapters.
  4. Use text-led layouts when no design images exist. When adding images, distinguish your proposal from external references.
  5. Review each page for agreement between text and images. Leave a page text-only or supply appropriate material when a suitable base image is missing.

Scope and limitations

This communicates how you understand and intend to respond to the project. “Prequalification” does not mean all eligibility evidence is complete: qualifications, CVs, experience records, and required forms still need genuine materials. See Commercial bid preparation for a full commercial response.

For extracting source requirements without presentation layout, use Brief interpretation. Keep original requirements, analytical judgments, and design recommendations distinct. Choose the required export separately.
