References provides creative evidence. A Reference may communicate materials, spaces, composition or atmosphere; it does not replace project conditions or execute a Skill.
Decide what to look for
Identify the building type, space, material or expression to study. A similar atmosphere does not guarantee suitable structure or scale. If needed, ask Agent to search precedents, then verify sources.
Define the borrowing scope: facade rhythm without copying massing, or materials without changing the plan. For built-project facts, consult original sources instead of inferring from images alone.
Use references in a task
Upload images to the input or select canvas references and click the input to add them. Wait until ready, reference them in text and explain their roles alongside the base design and fixed conditions.
For example: “Use my sketch as the base; borrow only the material relationship from this image. Keep the entrance and roof profile.” Specify separate roles for multiple references to avoid conflicts.
Adding a reference does not start work until you send the task. Review whether results stayed within scope, copied unrelated surroundings or changed fixed conditions.
Use your own files
If the References library entry is unavailable, upload your own images/files or reference canvas assets directly. You can provide context without waiting for the library entry.
Retain needed attribution for public display or delivery. A reference image's availability does not make it your own design output.
