Visitor center design

Skill manualsReview draft

On this page

Explore concepts for a visitor center, reception building, or small public building from text, a site plan, a rough model, or your own style references.

Prepare materials

State use, location, main functions, and known area requirements. Mark site boundaries, orientation, terrain, and access where possible. Attach sketches, model views, or mature proposals, clearly separating site bases, design bases, and references.

Match the design stage

  1. Select this Skill and define the task, retained massing, and reference qualities.
  2. Confirm the starting point: text supports spatial concepts; a site plan supports placement; an existing proposal supports development of fixed form and viewpoint.
  3. Choose recommended directions or specify what to borrow from supplied references. Unrelated homes, pools, or functions must not enter merely because they appear in a reference.
  4. Check boundary relationships, terrain, arrival space, roof, and main functions. Rough models may gain compatible secondary elements; mature designs should retain decisions.
  5. Refine a local relationship while explicitly preserving approved roof form, placement, or other conditions.

Verify site conditions

Unclear boundaries, scale, or elevations cannot establish precise setbacks or area compliance. Site adaptation and construction remain conceptual until checked against reliable survey and engineering information. Avoid forcing incompatible reference forms onto the base.

Use Brief interpretation for a long brief, Residential community entrance design for gateways, or request “detail render” with a base image and rendering requirements in main/Auto mode for visual improvement of a settled proposal.
