Check whether you selected an asset, several assets or their containing frame before organizing designs.
Move and resize
- Press V and select content.
- Left-drag it; alignment guides help align edges and centers.
- Drag handles to resize. Arrow keys nudge; Shift-arrow uses a larger step.
- Shift-select several items to move together, then drag selected content or blank space within the selection bounds.
Auto layout arranges internal assets by its rules. Arrow keys on a single selected child navigate rather than nudge. Use free layout for manual positioning.
Copy for comparison
Use the context menu's Copy and Paste or Ctrl/Command + C/V, then move and edit the new copy beside the original. Cut removes the original after copying succeeds; choose Copy to retain both versions.
While editing text, copying affects selected text. Exit editing and select the text asset to copy the whole box.
Stacking order
Use Bring forward, Send backward, Bring to front or Send to back in the context menu. These change overlap, not canvas coordinates.
Use auto layout and drag insertion positions to keep images orderly. For a main image, secondary images and captions of different sizes, use free layout and alignment guides. Switching to auto layout rearranges content.
