Interior lighting and fixture layout workflow

Use a two-dimensional interior floor plan to compare lighting concepts, then generate ceiling fixture layouts and explanatory lighting diagrams for selected directions.
Prepare the right input
Supply a top-down plan: line drawing, CAD screenshot, or colored plan with clear walls, doors, windows, and functional areas. For nighttime atmosphere from a photograph or perspective rendering, use Lighting concept generation.
Explain room use, activity modes, ceiling conditions, fixture preferences, and fixed elements. For example, a living room may need reading and film-viewing modes.
Develop the lighting
- Select this Skill, attach the plan, and describe requirements.
- Check spatial interpretation. A black-and-white plan may first become a colored plan; verify that walls, openings, and room uses remain correct.
- Compare mood, light color, and accent locations. Select one, several, or all concepts by name or number.
- Each selected direction produces a ceiling fixture layout with a legend and an explanatory image showing local effects, fixture forms, and parameters.
Review and revise
Verify room functions and agreement between the two images. Symbols need clear legends, and worktops, displays, or reading areas need deliberate treatment. Correct a misidentified room directly.
Scope revisions to one option, such as retaining its warm tone while reducing corridor fixtures and updating both images. These are design and layout studies. Parameters and positions require real dimensions, installation checks, and lighting calculations; generated images are not automatically CAD drawings.
