Four-panel concept exploration
Skill manualsReview draft
On this page
Explore four spatial concepts for a site in one image, comparing layout, massing, and site relationships early in design.
Prepare the site
Upload a satellite, planning, map, or survey image with a clear, preferably closed boundary. State the intended function, such as a park, cultural facility, or commercial square.
The default drawing process clears existing buildings within the boundary to explore new proposals. If structures must remain, identify them and the renovation task first; do not treat the results as automatically preserving existing conditions. See Renovation design workflow.
Explore four directions
- Select this Skill, attach the base, and describe functions and exploration goals.
- Confirm the recognized site. Supply a clearer boundary before continuing if needed.
- Verify concepts and fixed road, open-space, or other relationships.
- Review each named concept for design potential before judging drawing style.
Example: “Explore community cultural center layouts in the marked area, focusing on residents' activities and public space. Confirm the site boundary before making the four-panel sketch.”
Read and continue
All four panels should use the same complete site and viewpoint. Check boundaries, surrounding roads, and agreement between labels and layouts. Request real differences in massing, routes, or nodes if only drawing style changes.
Continue by panel position or concept name, optionally adding references. The result is one generated image, not four independent design files or a complete planning study. For deeper urban structure, use Urban design workflow; for a landscape plan, use Landscape design workflow.
