Create a Skill

Skill manualsReview draft

On this page

Turn a recurring workflow with known inputs, outputs, and confirmation points into reusable instructions, or revise one part of an existing Skill.

Bring a real example

You do not need to learn a Skill file format first. Explain the problem, typical materials, desired output, and one real task with a satisfactory result. Existing steps, templates, standards, and failure examples make the workflow concrete.

Define the workflow

  1. Select this Skill and describe the repeated task, such as comparing proposal images using a consistent order of names, features, and images.
  2. Clarify when it applies, required inputs, retained content, decisions needing your participation, and completion criteria.
  3. Review steps against actual work. Remove unnecessary steps and add failure handling, such as listing missing material data instead of inventing brands.
  4. Supply adopted professional rules and sources. AIRI loci can organize them but must not treat unconfirmed assumptions as approved standards.
  5. Test the resulting Skill with a real task and correct specific problems in triggering, steps, omissions, or output form.

Update an existing Skill

Provide its content or identifiable name and state the exact change. Recheck related steps for conflicts afterward.

The immediate result is Skill content or a file. Writing it, saving it, and enabling it in the product are separate; verify it appears in an available entry point. It cannot create platform capabilities that do not exist. For a one-off design task, use the relevant business Skill directly.
