Logo concept exploration

Skill manualsReview draft

On this page

Explore logo directions from brand positioning, then choose individual concept images or a nine-panel inspiration image. A selected logo can also be shown on items such as mugs or tote bags.

Describe the brand

Provide name, purpose, audience, character, colors, and required text or graphic cues. Concrete context such as “approachable and recognizable for neighborhood families” is more useful than “premium.”

Choose an output

  1. Select this Skill and explain the brand and task.
  2. Review how each concept connects graphics, product, and color; correct the interpretation first.
  3. Choose one or more independent logo images with short concept explanations, or a single nine-panel image comparing nine directions.
  4. Identify preferences precisely, using panel position when needed.

Explore applications

After choosing a logo, specify an application and provide a photograph or describe its type, color, and material. Check position, scale, perspective, and consistency with the selected logo. Applications are optional; concept explanation text is not an adopted brand slogan.

Review the result

Compare silhouette, positive and negative space, symbol/text relationships, then color. Request distinct graphic ideas when options differ only in color. Specify whether revisions concern graphics, colors, or the explanatory phrase.

These are concept and application images. A vector-like appearance is not an editable vector source, and a nine-panel image is not nine separate files. A complete brand identity system is outside this output. For posters or covers, see Graphic design exploration.
